Mobile Printing: Print from Any Device, Anywhere

Mobile Printing Overview

Mobile printing allows you to send print jobs from your smartphone or tablet directly to a compatible printer. This eliminates the need to transfer files to a computer before printing.

Apple AirPrint

AirPrint is built into every iPhone, iPad, and Mac. It works automatically with compatible printers on the same Wi-Fi network. No additional apps or drivers are needed. Simply open the document or photo you want to print, tap the share button, and select Print.

Android Printing with Mopria

Most modern Android devices include the Mopria Print Service, which enables printing to compatible network printers. Like AirPrint, it requires no additional software installation for basic printing.

Manufacturer Mobile Apps

Printer manufacturers offer free mobile apps that provide additional features beyond basic printing. These apps often include scanning from your phone's camera, ink or toner level monitoring, and printer maintenance tools.

Cloud Printing

Some printers support printing via email or cloud services. You can send a document to a unique email address assigned to your printer, and it prints automatically. This works from anywhere with an internet connection.

Troubleshooting Mobile Printing

If your device cannot find the printer, ensure both are on the same Wi-Fi network. Restart your printer and device if the connection fails. Check that your printer firmware is up to date for the best mobile printing compatibility.
