Printer Setup Guide

Unboxing Your Printer

Carefully remove the printer from its box and take out all protective tape, foam inserts, and packaging materials from inside and outside the printer. Save the box and packing materials in case you need to return the product. Check that all listed accessories are included, such as power cables, ink or toner cartridges, and a setup guide.

Installing Ink or Toner

Open the cartridge access door and insert the included ink or toner cartridges according to the colour-coded slots. Push each cartridge firmly until it clicks into place. Close the access door and allow the printer to initialise the cartridges, which may take a minute or two.

Connecting to Power and Wi-Fi

Plug in the power cable and turn on the printer. For wireless models, navigate to the printer's control panel and select your Wi-Fi network. Enter your network password when prompted. Once connected, the printer will display a confirmation or a wireless icon on its screen.

Installing Drivers and Software

Visit the manufacturer's website or use the setup CD included in the box to download and install the latest printer drivers for your operating system. Many modern printers can also be set up through a mobile app that walks you through the entire process step by step.

Printing a Test Page

After installation is complete, print a test page to confirm everything is working correctly. You can usually do this from the printer's control panel or from the printer settings on your computer. If the test page looks correct, your printer is ready to use. If you encounter any issues, visit our troubleshooting page for common solutions.
